I saw this announced on the television the other day.
Something tells me that magical minded people would probably not be chosen.

I could be emabasing to Derren if he used someone who was known localy, because the whole stooge thing would rear its ugly head,.

you're like Yoda.you dont say much, but what you do say is worth listening to....
Greg Wilson about.... Me.

Is this the bit where Derren offers you a few hundred quid to play along for the camera?

Derren Brown wrote:Now, when i ask what card your thinking of, say "Ten of Hearts" and i'll give you 50 quid!

It's interesting that a very large part of the Application form deals with your medical history. Either they're being very cautious or it's deliberate hype to enhance the event. Can you imagine how well received it would be if you declare your Hobby as 'Magician, Mentalist - I just love doing everything Derren does'!

Hello there,

The medical questions are there for the production company to cove their backsides in case there's a problem. If you tick no to everything, you're far more likely to get on telly than if you're a pregnant epileptic with TB and asthma. If you lie, it's your fault!

When you get there, the two day thing is to weed out those least succeptible to suggestion and the most knowledgeable about mentalism to leave the best, most willing subjects. After all, it's supposed to be about extraordinary things happening in very ordinary circumstances. They want good reaction shots not some clever trousers piping up "hey, that's a handshake induction!" when filming starts :D
