German translation

Postby JuanTheMan » Oct 16th, '05, 09:04

Hi everyone

I know a few folks here speak German. I've purchased something from someone in Germany via eBay and had hoped that they would understand a message that I sent them directly regarding costs, including Registered Mail. I've had the usual "invoice" from eBay, but it's in German.

Is anyone here willing to translate about three sentences to German for me? If so, please PM me and I'll give you the details.

Thanks for your time and patience!

Not sure if this will help but take a look here http://www.freetranslation.com/
At the top right there is a free text translator. Copy and paste the text from the invoice into the text box and press translate.

Many thanks for the suggestions.

I also came across a Google translator. I've tried each of these suggestions and they concur for 95% of the time. I hope that the text that I've chosen to send actually says what I mean it to say! At least the recipient knows that I'm English with only a small smattering of German that I picked up from frinends at school many year ago <lol>.

Glad to hear it. Anyone ever needs German and tries the internet translators, send stuff to me if you want it checking before sending it on if you want. I was a translator before becoming German teacher, so I'll gladly help any of you guys out.
