The Session Convention

The Session Convention takes place near Gloucester on 15th Jan with a superb lineup, including Lee Asher and Kostya Kimlat. I'm really excited about this one, despite travelling from (ahem...) Paris.
If you haven't heard of Kostya before he is a fantastically skillful card magician and he has some incredible work based around the cull.

Do you guys have any opinions on this you'd care to share? There are some great reviews on The Magic Cafe and it's something I'm gutted I missed. Let us know how you got on :D

Haven't read anything on the Cafe, but it was a really excellent day. It was very relaxed and all of the lecturers were only too happy to wander and help people out or session between lectures and performances. Tyler Wilson was hilarious and Kostya Kimlat impressed everyone as a very nice and open guy which shines through in his performances. Everyone was very approachable all day.

There were also some great performances from non-lecturers. Some were magicians I had never come across before, but I think I was impressed by everyone I saw, especially Pete Wardell and Tim Shoesmith.

Great price too especially considering food was included. The venue wasn't ideal but bearable. Since the organisers said that they could have sold it out twice over I hope this will encourage them to book somewhere bigger if they decide to do it again.

If you're reading this Rob & Andi, thanks for a superb day.
