No gaffs as such, two normal cards are used but there is a little prep work to do. This only takes a second though.

Card Warp is one of my favourite effects. It always knocks people for six. I did it seven or eight times in the pub last night.

You need 2 cards from different decks, one of them is a court card and the other is a spot card. I use 8, 9's and 10's because it gives a bigger colour difference. Fortunately many years ago I was given many packs of cards from a casino that were partially used. They are perfect for Card Warp. When you pair up the cards you get 24 pairs from the two decks. One court card and one high spot card.

You have to do a little preparation to the cards before you perform the effect. This is what you pay for when you buy the trick. I prepare them while watching TV. I take out all the court cards and high spot cards, put them into pairs and prepare them. It takes about 45mins while watching TV. I put about 10 pairs in a little plastic wallet which I take out when performing and put the other pairs in one of the boxes the cards came in. I throw away all the other cards and the second box.

People come up to me months after performing Card Warp and ask to see it again, it really is a strong effect.

Also, when wondering round the pub performing this you end up leaving two torn up cards in the ashtrays and people come up to you and ask you to do the trick because they've asked someone about the bits of cards they've seen. They actually become talking points.

I've done this thousands of times and never had a bad reaction or anyone who thought they knew how it was done.

If you don't have access to plenty of old cards this effect is worth buying new cards to tear up and throw half of the pack away, its brilliant. I would recommend anyone to get it. I don't know what it costs nowadays, it was one of the first effect I got, but believe me, if you pay 20 quid for it you will never feel robbed.

If you want to know more, or are not sure that it will suit the way you perfom, please PM me and I'll help all I can, but I won't tell you the secret obviously.
