Tut tut, detention for you sir for requesting such things on here. Please read the sticky about the non trading of books etc. or requesting magic secrets for free.

If you specify which type of effects that you're interested in performing, how old the audience is and when you will be performing then the members may well help by recommending some tricks and pointing you towards where you can buy them but alas, nothing is given away for free as we're all against exposure of secrets here.

OK - sorted this.

Can I recommend to you the Practical Encyclopedia of Magic by Nicholas Einhorn http://www.talkmagic.co.uk/ftopic5060.php&highlight=einhorn for a review.

It's available in most Works bookshops for about £2.99 now.

A fantastic purchase and I hope that this helps

I should stop assuming that everyone is in the UK when they don't have their location in their profile :roll:

Well, they may outnumber us soon, but we are talkmagic.co.uk so it might be handy if the overseas members pointed that out to us.

Maybe "Street Magic" by Paul Zenon. It shows some very simple yet very effective tricks for you - all explained with full colour pictures and very clear instructions.

Street magic by paul zenon is a very good book. It includes 9 different chapters, and a bonus chapter...

1 = auto-magic - simple to learn tricks that have a high audience impact
2 = midas touch - coin magic
3= top secret magic - magic with gimmicks
4 = hands on deck - simple card magic
5 = shark attack - advanced card magic
6 = cruising - flourishes
7 = Mind Magic - "mind reading"
8 = Street Scams - different cons and scams
9 = party tricks - fun tricks for use of entertaining large groups of party people
Bonus = one for the road - "Possibly the best card trick ever!"

I hope that helped. If more info is needed - just ask.

Love
