One way to lose a card in the deck but keep it on top?

Postby TylerD » Dec 25th, '05, 05:24

Well as of late i have been experimenting with ways of losing cards in the deck and bringing them to the top. My most famous way is by simply just doing the pass which im sure most people do. However I have thought to myself and have done it to alot of people lately and nobody catches it....I tell them to stop like a svengali deck and they do so I cut that card to the top and then just do a double pick and then i put that top card in the pack so it looks like I am losing their card in which case it still on top then I am in perfect position to do any trick. What do you guys think about that??? Nobody has caught it yet and its certianly alot easier to do then a pass or cutting to their card. However I am a little skeptical about doing it as I could get busted if they ask to see the card when putting it into the deck lol. What do you guys think???? Any feedback?

Tyler,

Its a standard move. I start my AC routine by having the deck shuffled and handed back to me, triple lift, bury 'their' card in the deck, DL to show it back on top. Bury it again and single lift to show its returned to the top a second time.

Tyler,
Tenko is correct; it's a DL, the standard move for the Ambitious Card routine.
Still, very important, it shows that you are THINKING, to come up with it on your own!

Yes, very standard move, but it's called a DL, not a double pick
