HT is quite right, we get suggestions for various new separate sections quite often and he’s also right with the response. Although it might be nice to have many more sections, it also becomes very unwieldy and difficult to moderate and, once the initial interest dies down, we’re left with something which is unused and just takes up space. Patter is really part and parcel of an effect and will differ (or ought to) with each performer so there will be many variations on the same theme. By all means keep a thread going about Patter but I can’t see a separate section being a serious possibility at the moment.

Can I suggest that you add this information to a sticky at the beginning of this forum?

Ah Lol there is also a lot of requests for information to be added to a sticky, if every suggestion was added no one would ever read the stickies because it would be massive. I suggest you use the search facility which in most cases will help you find information on most subjects you are likely to think of.

I did and it wasn't. Terms: forum request propose new create.

I would have thought that it was entirely reasonable that a description of how to use a forum area were included as a sticky. Especially in a forum called Forum Requests. Its a meta thing.

Even better than that, the FAQ link above covers every aspect of Forum use and procedure. Bear in mind that there may occasionally be background issues which stop some things working as advertised but the FAQ section gives a fairly good coverage of what to do etc.
