Hippity Hop Rabbits - MINI

Postby Beardy » Jan 9th, '06, 20:38

The Effect

Two rabbits are shown. On black. One white. They are both covered in sleeves and surruptiousal...surra....sneakily turned around. They have swapped places!!! The audience feels that they have been ripped off, the magician is rubbish, their 3 month old child could do that. The rabbits get turned around...and they are silenced.

For there...instead of a black and white rabbit...are a blue rabbit, and yellow rabbit!!!

Cost

£11.00 from penguin magic

Difficulty
(1=easy to do, 2=No sleights, but not so easy, 3=Some sleights used,
4=Advanced sleights used, 5=Suitable for experienced magicians only)

I love this trick. It fools so many people it is unreal! The secret is ver subtle - when i receieved it i kicked myself that i didn't work it out. Everything is examinable with a tiny bit of misdirection - easily done as you can "dispose" of the "items" when ther are examining the bunnies :D

Due to everything being examinable at this point, i love handing it all out and watching them try to figure it out. Obviously they can't...as it is magic! Real Magic!

Overall

I love it. This is perfect for kid's shows, yet the gimmick is "better" on one of my sleeves than the other. However, no matter how "weak" the gimmick is, it doesn't matter. It would work anyway.

A good, firm, 9/10 for me!

and any questions about the effect - feel free to ask!

Love

Chris

Rabbits! Rabbits! Rabbits!

I've seen this and it is fab!

I must admit - as a childrens entertainer i havent got it. But i do like it very much!

I suffer with CUPS (Compulsive Unessacery Purchase Syndrome) and am recovering from it so i am trying not to buy anything.

LOL

Tom :D

i seen my neighbor do this once. i thought it was kinda crappy, but BAM. the ending was good.

i never really asked him about magic, but i heard he was really into it. too bad he moved to florida... :(

edit
hmm. they seem alot smaller from what my neihbor did. and after the second time watching it, i can sorta guess what he did. other then that, you can just messaround with the kids. i remember one kid went "turn that around without the case". bam. he was shocked :D

?!~

For crying out loud, the msn button under my name is to talk about magic with me, NOT A FREE MAGIC GIVEAWAY LINK. dont abuse it

its one of thoughs tricks that depends on a lot of "play" just like a change bag and as you point out it comes in diferent sizes for stage and close up.
like a change bag the secret is devishly simple yet highly effective.
played well its a baffler, played badly its tedious, its one of thoughs tricks like coin unique thats made or failed by the presentation.
