we got a load posts about cutting women in half and other hilarious gags.

Rather that than flame the guy right away - it's our more gentle way of discouraging folks from asking how things are done.

so why bother hiding the words on here? It's just keeping a secret for the sake of keeping a secret.

The fact that other sites reveal things certainly doesn't justify revealing them here. We have made the point in the past that some online shops showed images of items which gave the whole thing away and those images were removed as a result.

Well I think I (and probably most people on the forum) write 'IT' and 'TT' because it's a bit quicker, I don't really think about it.

I think it is a good idea to keep these semi secret. I mean I worked out how to do a very famous trick when I heard 'roughing fluid' being talked about on these forums. So... yeah.

That is what it is for isn't it? If I had never seen 'TT' before, and I asked what it meant I am sure I would have been told TT.

Its just like 'IMO', 'LOL' etc.

As this is your first post I'll take the opportunity to mention that we prefer words to be spelled in full rather than txt speak.
