Paul Zennon Effect

Postby It_Came_From_Space » Aug 2nd, '05, 22:58

Does anyone know where this effect originated from, i saw it on a paul zennon special he did in prague. he performed it on a couple, it goes as follows:

He takes an empty small beer bottle off the lady(imagine the cheap small ones from your local) and apparently unscrews the bottom of the bottle.

He shows the bottom of the glass to be seperate to the rest of the bottle and then places his finger through the bottom of the bottle where the bottom was removed from.

He then restores the bottle by apparently screwing it back on and then hands it back to them to examine.

I hope thats understandable to you all, anyone know where he got this from as it is an extremely strong effect i feel and would love to learn it.

Any help would be appreciated

Never mind the effect, I'm still imagining the cheap, small ladies from my local.

Sorry. Carry on.

I saw that special too. I was very impressed with it, as I seem to remember the top of the bottle being in view at all times, even though he covers the 'unscrewing' of the bottom of the bottle.

I couldn't figure if there was a switch involved (very unlikely considering you see the bottle at all times), or it is a gimmick with a stooge in the audience.

Anyway, if you do find any more info on this, I wouldn't mind finding out where to buy it, if it's commercially available. Pretty cool effect for down the pub.

Cheers,

I haven't seen Zenon do this but Kevin James demonstrated something very similar at Blackpool a couple of years ago.

He had a few of the gimmicks for sale but there are none on his web site.

But I'm not sure this was the same effect. James wasn't able to show the bottom of the bottle....

I find it amazing that you guys are all wondering what the effect is.

It's not Perrier with a Twist, its so simple.

Honestly!! :?
