Bending Card

Postby Allen Tipton » Feb 6th, '06, 16:17

:) It does look good on the video BUT it also does take a while.
Although you can't use a borrowed deck, unless it matches the fake, Guy Bavli's is better in my opinion. You take the ''freely chosen''card, hold it at finger tips. It bends completely forward; either in half or nearly folded in two. This at the rate you decide. Slowly, medium pace or (doesn't look as affective) very fast. The 'card' is then handed out. A very simple switch.

Ellusionist Censorship ..

I thought it was just me being paranoid :D

See my earlier thread:

http://www.talkmagic.co.uk/ftopic7073.php&highlight=

It's a shame, but I really do feel that they manipulate and 'control' the forums and reviews.

Quite simply because it's not OUR secret to share.

You should have read the terms and conditions of membership here before being so blunt in asking.

This isn't a forum where secrets are divulged. And certainly not commercial ones.

Is that your final answer......... or would you like to phone a friend ??

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??

Honestly, I just don't think this effect is worth the money - I have seen it for 'free' as my mate has it, but even so I just think it's way overpriced for what it is.

The only thing that really is worth the money from Ellusionist is Sinful - aka Coin in Soda Can - that is killer impromptu magic.

Mindbender

I downoaded this last night and I was very pleased with the result. The video is VERY BIG to download (243MB) and is dressed up with lots of drama, but the effect is wonderful and simple to perform. You also get persuaded to download the viewing software, which is actaully a way for Elusionist to seel you more stuff. Standard windows media players (v9) will play this file.

Overall, I think it will go down well in all sorts of venues and can be adapted to fit all situations. The videos from the Philippines are great.

tut tut....

Postby garysumpter » Mar 20th, '06, 15:19

Guys,

You all seem to look at things from COMPLETELY the wrong angle.

Its amazing how many of you see a video demo, get some rough idea of how it could be done, realise it ISNT real magic and refuse to spend a tenner.

If you like the effect, thats it, there's your answer.

I like the effect. I wont buy it as it wouldnt fit my performing style, not because I could create my own version easily enough or a young relative can figure it out (Dont believe that for a second I might add!)

Honestly, not being funny guys but on here, you lot are like a bunch of aligators waiting to be fed, as soon as the food is dangled over you, you jump up and rip little bits off, then as it hits the water you rip it to pieces, then swim around waiting for the next course.

A LOT goes into producing an effect to be marketed. If you truly love magic, please stop moaning and fishing for secrets and spend the measly amount asked for a full explaination!

Whilst you have a valid point, it certainly doesn't help when you go on to make sweeping and inaccurate statements such as

Most unnecessary.

True though.

Nothing wrong with adding a little humour into a poast, doesnt surprised me that someone moans about it though.

Need to relax a little methinks!

Gary, there was nothing in your post to suggest it was humorous and likening all TM members to alligators in a feeding frenzy etc certainly isn't funny or appropriate as far as I'm concerned.

I already acknowledged that you had a valid point so perhaps you just need to be less critical and aggressive?
