It prompted me to make a haunted deck from an old pack of Tarot cards I had lying around, it adds to the effect immeasurably

i agree that spookiness (ooooooooo!) adds to the effect because its implying that magic isn't something that can be tught to you, it comes from within and it adds something else to the effect. Tarot card stuff can sometimes have an effect on your audience

Re the beard etc - I'm not all that observant these days! Actually, there are a lot of bearded guys within my postcode area - must grow one - or buy one soon. A beard, that is - not the guy.
