Note the top card of a deck and mess it around on the table. Write a prediction saying the name of the top card, then have someone slide out any card they want and turn it over Mexican.

i didn't quite understand. am i supposed to turn over the spectator's card with the top card (and switch the cards) and show that their card was the one that was predicted?

It is used in 3 card monte if the spectator guesses correctly so that they never win.

Please nobody answer this. Murshid clearly doesn't know what a Mexican Turnover is - if he did, then he would not have asked this question.

Strange, really - especially considering he has 'just learnt' it.

Out of interest, Murshid, where exactly did you learn the Mexican Turnover from?

Probably from Wikipedia, as they have the 3 Card monte on it, but the explanations are more than c*** (not the best)

If you want a good 3 Card Monte that is not a DVD, buy Lee Asher's Catch 33

i learnt it from one of the bob longe books and also from the MagicDan website.

and this is just to let you know that i know what a mexican turnover is. i just didn't understand katrielalex's description of his/her trick.

by the way, do you always attack people like that? if you still want to know whether i really know about the mexican turnover (MT), just let me know. i'll send you a pm to let you know what i really know about the MT.
