False Shuffles

Can anybody tell me the best source for learning false shuffles please?

Book or DVD is OK although I have a slight bias towards books

Thanks

I don't know if there's the best source.

Lennart Green has a whole DVD on false shuffles. If I am not mistaken, it's the 5th volume of his Green Magic series (called Shuffling Green).

To do the false riffle shuffle is farelly straight foreward but hard to do lol. I never could get it done. However i stopped practicing it after a while. I should practice it again. It is very useful in some tricks.

Card college volume 2 (if you are learning card magic, then vols 1 and 2 are essential).

Try the optical shuffle (actually quite easy). If you learn the pick up shuffle and apply it to the full deck it is easy and deceptive.

art of caard manipulation by jeff mcbride, there are 3 in the series, and each has loads of info on false shuffles and other such things, they sell the series at magictricks.co.uk.

Er, I don't think that Art of Card Manipulation has much on false shuffles. It's more on stage manipulation - productions and vanishes and the like.
