How about sending a Travellers Cheque? Most travel agents can issue them and they're available in units of $20, $50 and so on. American Express seems to be the most welcomed Travellers Cheque/Check in the US.

from the ellusionist website...
Borrow two coins and SLAM them together in a twisted cross of metal.
The coins are fused together -- literally -- visibly. Hand the coins
out for examination, the secret will not be found, guaranteed

well i worked out the secret in about 2 seconds and to be honest i wouldnt pay ellusionist a penny for it never mind go to all the hassle of trying to send money abroad.

what i meant by it was.... if your still in school and you do craft&design or whatever they call metalwork these days you could make the gaff in about 3 minutes thus saving yourself the bother of trying to get money to the US

magic wasnt allowed all them years ago but magic back then was real boil and bubble, toil and trouble if you know what i mean and me folks are a bit 16th century

Is it worth discussing this with your folks? just explaining that magic today is purely about entertainment, maybe try to involve them in a few comedy type tricks, so they can see that it's harmless fun.

I'm no expert on the muslim faith, but I know there's quite a few muslim entertainers, and being involved in entertainment per-se can't really be considered bad, so maybe if they can see it from that angle it might help?

I just reckon if you do stuff behind their backs without telling them about it, it might cause trouble later on. But of course it depends on your situation.

Shrug, just a thought.
