Who Can Help me With Supreme Magic ?

Postby dynamitemagic.nl » Mar 14th, '06, 19:25

Hi,

many of you may not know the Supreme Magic Company, owned by Edwin Hooper, they made the best magic items available, especially for kid-shows !

I am a magic dealer and in the past I used (as a magician) lots of the supreme-magic items into my own shows.

One of my "dreams" is to start up the production of the Supreme Magic products again. I read elsewhere on this forum that the stocks have been kept somewhere.

The person who can bring me into direct contact with the company or person which now owns these stocks I will reward with magic items of your choice (as I own a magic shop you have plenty of choice).

I will not tell you the amount you can choose items for but it surely is interresting ! Only one person gets the reward and that is the (FIRST) one which brings me into contact !

Hope you can help me !!!!!

Magically,

:) The Supreme Magic Company was purchased by Magic Supreme Ltd in Wales, UK. I believe they have the rights to all the Supreme effects.

:) :) Johndoe. Your reply puzzled me. I hadn't noticed anything about a reward. I've not been in the Magic Game for 64 years for rewards; except when I perform. As a teenager I was given so much by older magicians, as Burtini, Arthur Culpin, John Ramsay, Al Koran etc. I have always, particularly to young magi, given any help ever asked for to anyone who is dedicated to Magic.
Just as I type this I notice Rene has replied to me. He too mentions a reward. I really must read the small print more carefully!!!

Allen,

Didn't Ian have something to do with the company that took over Supreme ?

I'm sure I can remember him marketing some of the Supreme stuff after Edwin sold out. Mind you, that could have been his own stuff previously sold by Edwin :?

And, before he died, didn't Edwin open another magic shop ?

I wasn't long into magic then and I'll bow to your superior knowledge buddy

:) Tenko. Yes you are right. Ian Adair was a partner about 38 years.
I've already given Rene his address and told him to ask about Edwin's Magic Arts as well. Ian must know who owns the rights. It could be Edwin's partner, David or his son Michael.
I bought my first Supreme Stuff in 1954 at either The BMS Jubilee Convention or one of the 2 Abra ones.
Edwin always sent us a Xmas Card; my wife was always impressed. He was one of the few magicians she liked and trusted. He'd often include a free trick in a parcel as well.

Supreme Magic

:) For those of you who have volunteered info and asked about this subject. Rene( still in his 30's) didn't realise Edwin had started up Edwin's Magic Arts. He thought it was all Supreme magic. I have managed to give him the Company & home address of the magician who purchased the Supreme stock( the books & videos were bought by Don Wallace of Magic Books By Post) Ian Adair's address (Rene contacted him) and when I realised he was really looking for who held the remaining stocks and rights of the EMA's stuff, I gave him the address of a very old magic friend who did. Negotiations are now taking place.
A Happy Ending for all.
Do look in on Dynamite Magic's Web sight ALL of you. Rene has some great effects; a number of which don't seem to be elsewhere. Check the children's stuff section.
Let's all help bring back, more of the old Brotherhood of Magic!

It was in the first post. I am in this for the rewards  and was desperately googling when you beat me to it, not that I thing I'd have found the info but it was worth a try.

No, it's good to see Magi helping each other out. Glad it came to a happy ending.
