I wasn't aware there was a second one. Perhaps you're referring to the DVD 2-Disc set???

I have the original VHS recording—before it became mainstream and before Derren became a major household name.

Oh, back in those days ;)

...just ordered the dvd set...came close to treating myself to a piece of art from the site too...wish he'd reprint the Sadowitz one and a smaller Peter Cook print...

ahhh can't wait now...sleightly nervous now too...

Just clearing all the arguments from above off, i want to shopw a quote from Derren Browns Website.

Derren wrote:It occasionally comes to our attention that individuals are offering unauthorised versions of Derren's books or video on the net. This is illegal and taken seriously. Whenever we come across this (and we are always informed), we instruct our solicitors to contact the individuals concerned with a view to taking legal action.
Even if no legal action is then taken, the offenders are liable for the legal costs of the instruction and correspondence, which is generally between a thousand and two thousand pounds, but may be more depending on how difficult the offender has been to contact.

And anyone going to see him in the hammersmith apollo? [london]

Thank you for all the nice replies

You have your opinion and i have mine and i will say it again i do not Agree with someone copying peoples work and making money out of it but borrowing from a friend or going to his house to watch it is fully acceptable to me, if a friend has a magic or a movie DVD i will check it out and after watching it i will decide if its worth buying if it is i will go and buy it and add it to my collection. like i said i can’t imagine that there are many people who have the collection of original DVD’s i do. put it this way the last time i counted which was 6 or so months ago i had around 1146 DVD's and they cost me £15 each or there abouts do the maths what’s that about £17,000 so you think i care about £35? the point is all that money i have spent i have watched borrowed or have heard from friends if it’s worth buying or not people i can trust. i have the royal road to card magic, born to perform, street magic, Ninja 1/2 and some Paul Daniel's and a few of
jay sankeys and some others all original DVD’s i have brought. for the people who cant afford it i think it is very acceptable to borrow the DVD i don’t see anyone saying no to borrowing a movie but it just seems to be about magic DVD’s. nothing i say is going to change anyone if someone is going to copy a DVD they will and if someone is going to buy a DVD they will.

Forum Policy when did i say that it was ok to download DVD’s for free? but again i will say if someone wants to borrow my dpb then they are welcome to do so sorry if that upsets you, just like all my DVD’s and my PS2 games if a friend wants to borrow one i got no problem in lending one out its not the same as making money out of someone else’s work, i am not selling them i am lending them for free and not to anyone but friends. Please show me the law book that says lending a DVD that has been purchased legally is against the law because i would really like to see it

enough said

Thanks :)

Just as a quick aside, I just checked 5 random commercial DVDs of mine, and each one prohibits lending, borrowing or copying. Clearly marked on each DVD.

Mate, I would LOVE to see Derren. I'm getting married this year, and with the running of my new online shop, time is against me :(

Oh, C'mon, it's not all that bad, would you rather see Derren or get married? (Actually, well you are a magicican so don't answer that :D)
