How long does a Bicycle deck last for you guys?

Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

Thanks for that one. And I'm not going to ask how you found that out

Heeeey I might just try that! Because it seems like anytime I bring my decks out in the outside it helps them alot.

To me, there's nothing nicer than a new deck, still in its cover order. Except, perhaps, several new decks, all neat and smooth, and bursting with unspoken possibilities.

It was the same with new packs of cigarettes when I smoked, but the only possibility there was a quick buzz adding to a lasting pile of mounting damage.

Ok, im going to come up with a really obscure metaphor now.

My cards are like a new pair of shoes. When i take them out of the box, they look perfect, smell nice, and i want to wear them all the time. But after a couple of weeks of wearing them, they look a little scuffed and smell a bit, but i still wear them. This is like my cards.

I was born with Multiple Personality Disorder. Luckily, they are all me, they just dont always get along...

Well I'm on the same track as Keymaster for this one. I open a fresh deck once a week. Decks are pretty cheap, so unless they're my gimmicked or fashion decks I don't worry too much about washing my hands before using them or letting my spectators handle the cards. If the cards get grubby just open a new deck.

I do this armed with the knowledge that an £18 brick of Bikes will last me about 3 months. Although I do appreciate that not everyone can just spend £18 every quarter for a brick of cards.

Brothers and Sisters I have a confession...

I treat my sacred bikes terribly, I abuse them in so many ways, I throw them on floors, I practice with unclean hands and offer them to other dirty sinners to handle, I spring them, riffle them, faro them and bend and break their little pasteboard bodies in everyway I can concieve... I also confess that until a week ago I had never even owned a close up mat, so would allow them to get drowned in unholy pools of wine and puddles of spilt food...

And yet they offer me forgiveness... When one pack falls another rises to take it's place, and often the fallen pack can still be reborn as a new trick or practise pack, before finally being consigned to the great packet trick in the sky...

Praise & Halleluah be to the sacred Bicycle!

(oh yeah, in answer to the question: They last as long as I need them to)!!!

Sounds good.
No paypal though so I'd have to send a cheque and wait for it to clear and all sorts of mumbo jumbo when buying a brick from a magic store would be sooooooooooo much easier....

And yes I can :)

Thanks for the PM dude

I've just checked the link I gave and the bricks are £12.99. But i've just realised that the postage is £5.99 so your basically paying £19 for a brick when you could just get one from magicbox (a far more reputable seller) for £18.
