Yeah I think you would have to either know before hand or just hope they don't. Most people don't have them, but you're right, it could turn out very badly if you were unlucky. But I suppose it's just the same with using very powerful magnets next to them.

I reckon you'd be able to get away with it though. You could wipe out half of Bournemouth.

I'm really looking forward to the full review although if it is as good as it sounds then it's gonna make a large hole in my wallet

There is no need to panic. The effect is safe. You just need to exercise caution.

I emailed ellusionist and they gave me the not very good reply:

ellusionist wrote:Hi Katriel,

Electric Touch could have an impact on that, so we wouldn't recommend it if you perform on people who might use one. Remember that safety always comes first, and it's always better safe than sorry.

Thanks!

In other words, don't do it to anyone who has a pacemaker. That's not very reassuring - "Oops, sorry, didn't realize. Let me just pop out and phone an ambulance!

In hibernation but half awake - will stick my nose in every so often!

I don't think this is safe for someone with a peacemaker. It may be safe for a peacemaker but giving a shock (also he doesn't expect any) who has a heart disaese is a one way ticket I think.

Just a thought but is the shock capability increased if you were to use a few a these at the same time?
The only reasonm I ask this is the list Dat sent me is quite extensive and I reckon it'd be quicker with high voltage.

I dunno. Maybe it is just me, but maybe...

"The trick I am about to show, I am required by moral law to warn anyone with heart conditions here before I continue. Due to its shocking nature, I have to ask that if anyone suffers from high blood pressure, a weak heart or pacemaker, or has any other health risk, that they do not help me with this demonstration. Anyone who does, will be doing so at their own risk."

This will do two things.

1) Cover your xxx, and theirs.
2) Intrigue the hell out of them.

PS, do add that it is ok to watch!

PPS I ended up censoring my post. Couldnt recall word usage laws round these parts. I have been playing hookie from these forums while working on my website and the stuff to go on it.

PPPS Nice to see you new faces.

...alternatively, you could just go round the audience shouting "boo!" at random moments and just use the survivors...

Is it true that one can use this device to "charge" an item like a metal teaspoon and then put it down ready for use, so that there is no actual need for physical contact between yourself and the spec?

If so, it gives me an idea for a great effect.

b****r,

I was hoping that this wouldn't happen so quickly (at least not till I could afford it), but the price of this appears to have gone up over the past couple of days on numerous sites...
