Postby MartinINC » Apr 16th, '06, 21:29

Hi
Looking for a magician or a group of magicians to perform shows with I am really desperate as I need to start organizing a few venues soon and I want to try doing some shows with more then one person, personally I think the more the merrier. I live in Halesowen which is in the West Midlands anybody want to hook up and work up some routines, give me a shout.

Thank you.

Would love to help out, but I am in East Anglia...bit of stretch, although I just love the A14!

Ok I keep getting excited when I see that I have a message but nobody is from the west midlands. How annoying.

There are a number of magicians on here from the West Midlandsbut maybe they're already involved with magic clubs.

Why don't you link up with a club and try to find magicians there?

Frankly you've hardly given much of a reason to get involved with this idea:
I am really desperate as I need to start organizing a few venues soon and I want to try doing some shows with more then one person,
is rather off putting. How about you present more specific details indication of the sort of thing you envisage ('some shows' is certainly insufficient) such as type of magic, type of venues - indoors, outdoors, timing of events - evenings, weekends etc. and then see if anyone can help. I'm sorry to say this but so far it really doesn't sound very inviting  .

I think the same applies to most people - if you don't let them know what you have in mind, you won't get much interest. Unless they're all Mentalists, of course :D !

Ye but the whole point of this was to find someone in the West Midlands who would like to hook up for a chat and to see what we can do and its paid off cause ive had alot of people private message me asking me questions and im meeting someone in birmingham in june to do abit of street magic the only reason why im still advertising is because the person im meeting is going to america in august for a year so it wouldnt be any good.

Ah - for the fist time you've mentioned street magic which is the sort of info which folks need to be able to decide whether to get in touch over this. More of those indications might help generate interest for you. I sincerely wish you well in all this and look forward to seeing your troupe performing up New Street or wherever! II'll be the one cheering the loudest and elbowing the guy next to me to put a few quid in the hat for you :D !)
