Using your own methods...

Postby foz » Apr 22nd, '06, 22:09

I tend to see tricks and using the basic magic knowledge i have....Come up with my own methods...

I saw the trick where the guy melts a coin thru a glass table.....£45 i think.

I worked on my own method for achieveing this trick....Saved £45

I don`t know if my method is the same or not ...but it works well...(i`ll upload a demo when i get a chance...need to work out how to upload video first)

Do you think this is wrong as i did`nt buy the effect....

Instead i came up with my way of doing it.

What do you think...?

back in the old days before dvd's and computers, which isn't as old as you think i remember the zx81.

you learnt a slieght from another pro then you whent away and tried to find as many ways to use it as you could, you came back and showed your creations to your mentor who gladly gave you pointers wile stealing your ideas, he would then teach you the next slieght and so on.

I'm glad to see some of the nintendo, just show me how to wipe my backside, generation are using there brains and saving themselves some money into the bargin which you can put aside for some more force fed drivel.

what goes around comes around and just like hot pants the inventiveness and solid practise of magic will come back in style and the majority of the pod zombie generation will loose interest and switch on the x-boxes and leave us alone.

inventiveness is the bedrock of magic and will always be there waiting in the wings so all power to your elbow. :D

I've come up with my own theories with how certain tricks work. They work well. But in the end, I still like the original proper version. :)

But kudos to you on creating your own sleight. You could even patent it. Become famous! :o

I spend a lot of my time watching demos and reading about effects, purely for thinking of new and innovative effects and sleights. I have a whole hoard of creations, but the problem is I move onto the next effect to quickly. My magic mind is always going a mile a minute. I see myself not directly as a magician, more of an innovator or creator.
