Double Sided Tape

Postby Tommy_C » May 2nd, '06, 18:36

Does anyone know of a make of double sided tape that is clear? I can't seem to find it anywhere but I know it exists.

Cheers

Staples, or office suppliers are your best bet, I'm afraid!

Most supermarkets carry Scotch tape in their stationary aisle. I bought mine from Asda

Are you talking 'double sided' or just selotape?

Apologies, but you used the phrase "scotch tape" which is the common name for plain vanilla selotape.

I suppose this is as good a place to post this as any. David Regal mentions the use of an interesting gimmick in his "Premise, Power, Participation" series. He uses a combination of double-sided tape and removable double-sided tape to create some fantastic rountines as the cards are much easier to unstick as part of the routine. Does anyone know where you can get this from? I looked in stationary box where I got my normal double stick tape from, but couldn't see it.

I just saw some double sided scotch tape in a art store, maybe you should check that out. The one I went to was an arts and craft store.

Be sure to try and obtain the 3M brand. It really is head and shoulders above the rest.

There is a small 'dispenser' version out there for about £3, which has an integrated roll of tape and a handy dispenser, and works a treat.

I am sure there are other brands which would suit if you find them, but from experience, 3M has it cracked.

I notice that our local DIY store stocks it.

It does indeed work a treat. I got some yesterday and I am more than happy with it.

What about using either Changin Glue (makes like a Post-It note sticky when dry) or Art Adhesive Sopray (get the repoisitionable one)

You can get the changin glue from my good mate Siege from his nothingupmyleave website :D

The spray can be bought from any DIY or craft/hobby/stationer shop (but it is about £8GBP+ per tin)
