Can I ask what effect you wish to do?
I think there are ways to do most IT effects without using IT but the items used are rather expencive or not east to use or examine later. I think IT is quite easy if you can put in the practice needed

Please use the term IT when talking about 'you know what'.

And when discussing effects, please bear in mind that laymen will visit this site looking for answers... keep the faith, guys! And remember - you've invested your hard earned cash in these effects - don't share them!

There's also the copyright issue to consider... creators may not take too kindly to posts like...

"I bought Joe Egg's Coin in the Bucket trick, and all of the IT that came with it has gone. Can anyone help???"

Now, Mr. Egg will be a bit miffed that you've just disclosed that his effect uses IT. This is the sort of information that leeching, prying eyes will be looking for.

You know Ive always wondered how the Joe Egg, coin in the bucket effect worked. I'd always assumed mirrors...doh!
