Welcome to TM mate...

Read the rules, be polite, and you'll have a great time :D

See my responses in "Reviews" for where to be starting.

Just digesting one of those two books is enough material to make you a pro :D

Hope you enjoy your magical journey!

You wont find much better anywhere and it's nothing - a rigmarole with a few bits of paper and lots of spiel. That is Mentalism

Welcome to the forum.

I started my road to magic with Born to Perform DVD http://www.penguinmagic.com/product.php?ID=618 and Royal Road to Card Magic book (recently purchased DVD from NUMS) http://www.nothingupmysleeve.co.uk/mark ... cts_id=110. Both I think are excellent for card magic. I then got a sponge ball DVD and a coin magic DVD.

I had so much magic at this point that I don't think I got much more for some time (except maybe a stripper / svengali deck)

About 18 months ago I started to build up a collection of things that could be classed as "bigger and better" effects (Raven, hip hop rabbits, PK ring...) But I have to say the basics I learnt from my first DVDs are still some of my most powerful and fav trick.

Hope this helps, I read your post in the other section but thought it would be easier just to write one reply :D

Best of luck

Alex

Magic is real, just look around you, some of the most amazing things have no reason, no explanation but are very real.
