And by football...you mean Soccer?

I'm not a huge fan...but I enjoy playing it from time to time. Now that I think about it...Why isn't it called Football in America...I mean...It involves feet...It's kind of dumb when you think about it.

Thanks,
Dominick

Well I caught about 10 minutes of it in total, and I saw the only 3 minutes that were worth watching really, in which England 'scored' a goal. (In reality Owen kicked the thing and one of the Paraguian chaps hit it into the goal with his noggin.)

I'm pretty anti-football too, don't really have any interest in most games. I pay a passing interest in my home teams endeavours (Ipswich FC :) ) but other than that, don't really care usually.

However, I must admit I'm a little excited about England playing and the prospect of winning! Not excited enough to watch the whole match, but excited enough to watch the replays when dad starts shouting like a loony

I didn't watch the football partially because I agree with nickj when he says

Possibly for the same reason that we don;t call it baseball but call it rounders instead

I got knocked out with a bat playing rounders in PE when I was in school.

And people wonder why I don't play sports.
And never did PE

I used to fake Asthma to get out of PE... no I don;t have Asthma, but I was so outrageously unhealthy a bit of heavy wheezing and the teachers just assumed.
However... I never corrected them ;)

I used to get out of Sports Day every year. My mum would write me a note saying I had a dental appointment, every year...on the same day :? Strange they never said anything.

Asthma was no excuse at my school, you would just have to take your inhaler and do it anyway.

Not a massive football fan myself, but got invited to a world cup bbq, so used it as an opportunity to try out my new routine to a few specs before kick off.

Had to take a hayfever tablet in the morning, and watched the kick off with a couple of stella's. Forgot about the tablet making you drowsy, and even more so if mixed with alcohol. Therefore I slept all the way through it!
