Hi Chaps,
Just wanted to ask if any of you have got a real bargain magic wise in the past. For example, I mean that you have bought a VHS tape at a shop in the sale from a performer that you did or did not not really know and found a real gem. Same could be said for a magic book or indeed an effect that you have gotten from a Dealers sale bucket at a convention?

I dont want to hear about how you got hold of a hooky DVD from a mate, or a photocopied set of lecture notes for nowt.

I will start the ball rolling...

Bargain VHS/DVD: Daryls Card revelations. Got Volume 2 from International Magic for £7.50 was so impressed that I bought Vols. 3 4 & 5 the nest week for £7.50 each! Volume 1 out of stock though.

Bargain Book: Not really a book, but I got a set of John Lenehans lecture notes after his lecture at the top secret magic day the other weekend for £2.50! Not only that but all the stuff in there is useable and gets great reactions. Cheapest lecture notes I have ever got, and good too!

Bargain Effect: Hmmm, like many I have bought some right c*** (not the best) in the past in sales etc. But, I got a nice plastic "Hot Rod" from ebay for £1.95. I have owned a few of these, but as it is a little larger it works for a small group. Just staretd performing this again after seeing John Lenehan do it in his lecture. Not a big fan of ebay with the copied discs and stuff, but this was a gem of a find.
