Staging Magic Exhibition - At Senate House Library

I went along to this earlier in the year https://www.senatehouselibrary.ac.uk/exhibitions-and-events/exhibitions/staging-magic

Just a heads up to anyone planning to visit - the private security were adamant that non-id card holders could not go into the Library - even though it is billed (and is) a public exhibition.

Managed to get in (along with a couple of others who were also being turned away at the gate.

Have to say bearing in mind the library holds a colossal collection - over 13000 items in the Harry Price Collection of Magic the exhibition was tiny and uninspiring.

My score? Could do better!

Maybe call the library to ask if the security teams can be briefed so as to avoid the hassle on arrival.

Just checked - the Reception explained that security was outsourced and they had no control!

Shakes head in bewilderment.
