Mine has to be 'Out of This World'.

Been doing it for the past 30 years (great at dinner parties) and I never tire of it. In all that time I can't remember a single occasion when anyone has sussed it... yet it's SOOOO simple, that's its beauty.

Presented right, people really DO think that they must be psychic and talk about it for days.

I dont really have a favourite card trick, but I get some great reactions with "Designed For Laughter", "Poker Players Picknic" and "4 Kings - with the ghost deck"
Colour Changes are real winner for me too.

I made my wife dissapear just by arguing with her!!!

I am afraid to say that I shall have to go with Mr. Pudding over there...Out of this World is simply amazing! (just wondering what method you favour to "clear up" afterwards Mr Yorkshire? I have one way (that explained in that paul zenon book) but with someone with 30 years experiance, I would love to know how you do it! pm me ;))

although I have to say that I do like the good old "card trick gone wrong and look now I have your watch" trick...though i don't think that counts ;)

Love

I prefer Order this world than Out of this world as it is totally impromptu and no cleanup is required.

But my favourite card effect is the Ambitious Card too. So many ways of doing it and when I perform, I just make it up as I go along according to people's reactions and stuff so I don't have a set routine. Maybe I'll do acard to mouth or card to pocket while I'm doing it and that just blows their mind away. Sometimes, I link it with my Enveloped Idea by setting up the aces during the middle of the routine and voila, I can do Enveloped which then I link with other ace routines :D.

It's the same trick as Out of This World, i.e. spectators separates reds and blacks, but it is "better".

Personally I prefer Paul Harris' Galaxy, it's much easier (although is 'inconsistent'). There is quite alot of discussion about OOTW in another thread somewhere...

My favourite card trick is probably Daniel Garcia's' Red Hot Mama's Triumph, or any other card tricks where the entier deck transforms or something.

My favourite, because it gets stronger reactions than anything I do, is Card Warp (the original version).

Keith, I've done OOTW for years (the version with a shuffled deck) and it is a very strong effect indeed, but only suitable with the right sort of people.

I did it a couple of weeks ago in a pub in town to total strangers and a young lass of about 20 said, My mum used to show me that when I was little :?

LOL! Yes, the environment and atmosphere has to be right. I tend to present it as an interesting psychic experiment after a dinner party with the right receptive people.... not just as a card trick. Amazing that after all this time so few laymen are aware of it so it still works.... your young lass in the pub excepted of course!

Derren Browns ideas on presentation of OOTW in 'The Devil's Picturebook' reflect my style of approach well and gave me some good ideas, his use of a shuffled deck is worth watching too!

My favourite trick has to be Ambitious card followed by Card On ceiling.

It gets great reactions, especially the end.

Card to pocket is my favourite.

Well card to anything really. I love doing a card under glass, and I have never been caught yet.

I also like the Jazz Aces, and twisting the aces.

Its impossible to say just one, as there are so many amazing effects available.

Another vote for Out of This World... can't really screw it up :D. Triple Prediction/Jeopardy/Predeckability is another good one. But if I have a table and some prep, then I love McDonald's Aces - people really think you have magical powers!

Jeopardy is a personal favourite of mine but I always find that the specs have trouble with the card changes and shuffles which makes it rather hit and miss.

They always seem to lose track of which way up their half of the deck should be as the card flipping confuses them too much.

Does anyone else find this and if so, what have you done to combat this?
