found it! this pen looks amazing! the 'sympathetink'

i know i saw it somewhere, i just cant remember where... basically, its a pen that when written with, you can hold a flame of heat to the inked paper, and SOME of the ink disappears, used to reveal cards/predictions etc... Would be really appreciative if some one can point me in the right direction to getting one. i cant remember what web store had it, but i know there was a video of it on there.... anyone???!!!

I found the product the thread mentioned by mandrake discusses here at mjmmagic...and here at magicbox

I can not recommend these sites though, I've not used them as yet, bound to be someone who can help from that respect.

hope this helps

no probs, i ordered mine today, as well... looks like a great bit of kit, but i wonder does it need refiling? and it comes with a 'pad' i have a strange feeling that the pad has something to do with the workings of the gimmick... i wonder where id have to get refills from??!! lol

Sweet find, guys. Just a shame that if you'd have taken Mandrake's advice, read the thread and got in touch, I could have told you were to get exactly the same thing for £1.79 :P

And no, the pad is nothing to do with the "gimmick".

Still, I hope you enjoy it, I know I do

It's a fantastic idea... and one which there's plenty of scope for.

With another magician/manufacturer, I've been working on a set of Zenner cards printed on plastic (like credit cards) which use this principle, and the results we've achieved are fantastic.

Field tests also show that it's possible to do the same with liquids!

But the idea of having this in pen form is excellent!

Heads up heads up. The pen you're after is by Pilot and it's called the Frixion pen. I got a couple this morning for 1.99 each from WHSmith. Works super.

These are rather good - 'incorrect' written predictions of 8 of Hearts can be changed magically into 3 of Hearts and so on...

iv used it in my routines for that method of revealing...

I popped into Smiths this afternoon, and found the pens you mentioned, Bronz, they look identical to mine in every way, however the packaging is different, and it stated nothing about disappearing with heat, simply that the ink could be rubbed out... i didn't buy one, but as i said, if was identical... have you tried yours out yet?
