Colour (or Color) Deception

Postby Johnny Bravo » Oct 15th, '04, 02:16

The Effect
Colour Deception is a terrific little mystery. And, it truly defies detection. Two black and white poker chips are shown front and back and then under amazing circumstances change, going from black and white to four different colours! Everything is then handed out for examination.

Review
Amazingly simple yet brilliant effect, really easy to achieve & I reckon it'll get a good reaction. Also with a few quid spent on an extra "item" & a bit of palming knowledge it would be easy to extend & reset this trick in front of the punter.

This is made in brass which is always nice for tricks, obviously it's a gimmick to the punter but you can have some fun with the colours changing & confusing yourself!

One slight niggle is that when showing the initial two colours & changing over in the hand the gimmick is lose & you need to be sure to retain it, still the more I use it the more I'll get used to it.
Overall
Good Easy Trick - 8/10

Nice review Johnny B, but before you (or anyone writes a review you may want to check the Review Index or do a search first

This one has in fact been reviewed twice already

http://www.talkmagic.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=2048

Now having said that, please don't think I am having a go at you. I am not. I certainly don't want to put you off writing the reviews, but if there is one there already it makes sense to add to it rather than creat a new one.

All the best.

I know bananafish, I did a search for colour deception & found nothing, was just when I was browsing the reviews index later I found it.
I'll check it out before I do one again & maybe you wanna move my review in with the others?

That's one of the problems with the 'Search' function - it doesn't always pick up on the variations on names. Also, things like 'colour' versus 'color' are important but I've fallen foul of that many times! Thanks for the review anyway, it's always good to get new input even on older items - keep 'em coming!
