You never bend down or go anywhere near your shoe at any point during the effect. The same borrowed ring in your hand is the same borrowed ring that ends up hanging from the loop of your shoelace seconds later!

Review
Right well firstly I'd just like to say that "I.D"'s review of this effect is great and was one of the long list of things that made me buy this! I agree with everything said, however I just thought I would post my own review, as I have few extra points to make to those of you out there who were thinking of buying it like myself.
Firstly this was my first magic buy in a few months due to money, and I knew I had to have such a genius effect. It arrived in a box, and I ripped it open to discover the secret, I was shocked, it was so simple, yet so clever. You will not expect how this effect works at all, it is all thought out, and you are supplied with several props to help make the effect possible, aswell as a dvd, and instruction manual.
I watched the dvd , read some of the manual, then got straight into making the gimmick, which required some help from someone else, as you cannot do some of the constructing by yourself I must note. One gripe I would like to make, is that although an amazing gimmick when finished, the making of it took me a great deal of time, when stated in the manual that it should take approx 10-15mins!! No way, took me at least an hour, with help! Secondly I must say you have to obviously have shoes with black or white laces, smart black shoes, or white trainers. I had neither because I have strap velcro trainers and laceless dinner shoes, therefore I purchased some specially for the effect! Aswell as this I also had to purchase something else to make the effect work better,(dedicated or what!) Im not trying to put anyone off this effect, because this was just me being laceless and obviously fashionless if most people should have them lol, and the making of the gimmick was well worth the effect, trust me!
Once the hassle was over, and gimmick made, I had to practice a few slights and test it out. The gimmick works perfectly, and I cannot stress how much of the work it does for you. Yeah you make the ring vanish, but hwo it gets to your laces? Well that shocks me everytime still, I look down and its there dangling, I know how it got down there, but im still shocked everytime as I dont see hear or feel it happen!
The sleights are quite time consuming as I feel you have to work with something that is unfamiliar however i have been practicing, and i should have it perfect in a few days, but thats just me!
I simply love this effect, it is my absolute favourite, and I cant wait to perform it. I have mucked up alot, so that wont be foir a while. one other thing he does give tips on patter that could be used, which are all good , however Im still struggling, so have a story or something to talk about a ring appearing on your shoelace ready!
Cons (had to think hard for these!):
Lengthy initial set up (once made, instant reset eveytime however)
Need someone to help make gimmick- therefore having to tell someone the secret
A fair amount of skill is involved it creating the gimmick, I couldnt do it, so my dad did it lol
Sleights need fair amount of practice
Overall
9.8/10 - perfect
