Good Packet Switch

Postby DaveWise » Dec 23rd, '15, 00:01

Hey guys,
I'm looking for a good packet switch. A way to switch 4 or 5 cards for another 4 or 5 cards without too much superfluity. Right now I'm using one that requires showing each of the four cards and flipping them face down to the bottom of the packet. I've seen it used in many routines - but I'm looking for something a little less deliberate.

Thanks in advance,
David

It may not be suitable for what you have in mind, but there's the Hellis Switch mentioned in a couple of Barrie Richardson's books - also described in Amateur Magician's Handbook as the double-palm change.

If you don't mind using a gizmo, how about Switch A Roo - see ftopic1203.php Not sure if its still made but check the advertisers on TM who may be able to source one.

Thanks for the quick replies, guys. I'll check both of those out.

I use a move that I got from a Jay Sankey DVD, though sure it's available elsewhere. I believe it's the Dai Vernon substitute transfer, though I could be confused.
