One of the best things I found in this is the video of Mike working in the club/bar. It gives you a much better idea of the points he is trying to get across than any video of 2 magicians doing tricks to each other in an empty room will ever do.
The way he lays out the effects is good as well. Very logical and written in an entertaining way though they are light on patter this isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
For me the effects were a mixed bag.
Card workers will love the simplicity of the Card to Shoe.
Initial Burn is excellent for table workers. It’s the one that really stood out for me. I work in a similar environment to Mike and this may become my closer. I’m thinking initial burned on to the back of business card taken from a stack of business cards. If you get the document you’ll see what I mean. Not sure why it wasn’t it presented like this by Mike seems a lot more commercial to me that way.
The Call I thought was nothing new and disagreed with his thinking. It is greatly helped put by one of the ideas in his after thoughts though.
No Toss. I found the description misleading to the point that I felt I had been duped. It is aimed at stage mentalist workers and I’m sure they will see the logic behind it but I felt a bit conned.
I haven’t seen the original Triumphant and I just didn’t get Totally Triumphant, all looked a bit Cut Kiddy to me. This isn't going to replace the AC in my routine.

Spectators cut the Aces… No they really do.
That’s Mike’s description of this trick and its bob on. Super simple, very nice one to do on a few mates down the pub or round the card table. Really kicked myself I hadn’t thought of it first. Can't believe its original but then again I haven't seen it before.
All the tricks are interspersed with some interesting if not ground breaking thoughts on magic in general.
Overall I was initially disappointed with what I’d got but after a couple of rereads then actually doing the Initial Burn and Cut Aces I had a change of heart.
Nice bit of a material with some good clean thinking maybe loses some points for not being focused on a particular style of work but well worth £25.
