The most successful tricks are those done with a regular deck and no sleights. Thus you can perform anywhere at any time with anyone's deck. Effects such as Gemini Twins, Five Hand Poker Deal, etc. There are enough and I don't mean 3 piles or the 21 card trick. A spectator would fall asleep watching that type of effect. Seek and you shall find and KISS.

Some of my favoites are of the non gimmick deck type like, The Man From New York by Terry LeGerould, Henry Christ Fabulous Four Aces, Oil and Water, Triumph and if you like Out of this World, look up Out of this Universe. Deck starts out mixed, spec. deals cards randomly into four piles , the piles are uneven, magician shuffles selected piles together and in the end the deck is revealed to have some how seperated into reds and blacks. The workings are simple and the effect it has on the audience is what the $%&^.
