Haha! I can't think of anything to top yours! Ha!

I know one :D My friend fell asleep lying with his head on the pan. He got his face covered in red permanent marker, then his eyebrow shaved off

Will he breathe normal air before he attempts the world record or will it be tanked oxygen (that is will he come up for air first)? I know nothing about diving so I'm asking anyone who does... would it make a difference?

A good point. Scuba divers (especially amatuers) sometimes breathe in what they call Nitrox, instead of pure oxygen. Nitrox is built up of 40% nitrogen and 60% oxygen. So if DB breathes out of a nitrox tank before he attempts to break the record, he might be able to last longer because the lower amount of Nitrogen enables the breather to feel much more comfortable at deeper depths.

Hum, the only problem I see is that he is very lightly to get permanent problems.

One problem is that it’s very easy to freeze to death, even in waters at temp 3-4 degrees below body temp. The water transfers a lot more heat then air and will lower your body temp to its temp. And a couple degrees fever would likely kill you.

Secondly, if the water is warm enough to support the temp, the heat from the water is likely to start dissolve his bone struckture. This is why people are advised not to stay in hot wells for more than an hour at the time and not more then 3 hours a week.

Skin problems from staining underwater. Warm water has a tendency to remove the fat from the skin and drying it out. Permanent skin conditions could follow.

My best guess is if he does it in a wetsuit at 1-2 degrees below body temp, with intervals of hotter temp.

Now I must read the article too he...

Sorry Mr Blaine fans but...
so what, he's a top magician but all this pole dancin' box livin' thang is not turning me on at all.
He should try living on benefits in Newcastle for a week, drinking in the local wearing a pink leotard...
that would do it! :P

LMAO!!

I think Blaine likes to diversify in what he does...By performing stunts and doing amazing magic...unlike Criss Angel, who hires people to look stunned, then uses camera tricks to look cool 8)

Thanks,
Dominick

May i remind people that Blaine does use camera tricks, just look at his levitation trick, what we see on tv is an edited version of two stunts, most people know what I meen, but for those who don't I won't say anymore.

I made my wife dissapear just by arguing with her!!!

Alright...Well he did use camera tricks for his levitation trick...because that was too good to be true...and the stunts he does basically have to be editted because they last for like...a day to like...well the longest being 44 days I think.

Thanks,
Dominick

I'm none too sure about this new Blaine marketing ploy.

The fact that David Blaine endorses these cards actually puts me off, if it were a trick he'd invented, then yeah, I'd understand his name being on it, but to 'officially' endorse a packet of cards that he didn't even design? hmmmm....
