I like the new sinbin section but in the interest of standardisation, shouldn't this section also have a sticky?

it was bound to happen when we got more members and i like the way its openly displayed not realy to name and shame anyone in particular but to show the sort of things we don't want to see cluttering up our site, congrates all around.

Step forward Mr.Bananafish and take a well deserved bow for suggesting the idea ! I was wondering about a sticky but ran out of ideas after doing the intro bit - as it was only created this morning, I think we can take a bit of time to sort out stickies!

More seriously, we're all concerned that the rash of daft posts are putting members off TM but bear with us, we're trying a few things to deal with the situation although it all comes down to keeping beady Moderator eyes on the Forum to weed out the sillies.

Has the recruitment of additional Moderators been considered to cope with the expansion of the membership and the increase in posts?

Many times, many many times! It's not so much the workload as the fact that the process can't be more automated. We're working on somethig to avoid first timers trying to flog DVDs and other non permitted items and that will be semi automated so will avoid a lot of the annoying threads arguing the toss for the 60th time or whatever!

most of the posts like this seem to be done late at night, hint when I'm around, so they can get a jump on the mods.
