Subterfuge

Postby Delude » Apr 29th, '06, 14:15

Hey All :D I desperately want Subterfuge as it just looks so good! Now, on the subterfuge website (www.subterfugemagic.com) they'll sell it for £30 (UK) and you will get privalages such as sending the item back for a swap and changing the dvd and whatever. However, on another site there is also a subterfuge for alot cheaper BUT you do not get these extra privalages as it is not a proper magic dealer.

What do you think i should go for? One that is £20 cheaper? (Still the proper thing :D)
Or £20 more but with privalages?
It's also being sold on magicmarket for £20 BUT it is only in large, what size do you peeps think would fit a 13 year old male? (Ring sizes, Small, Medium or Large)

Thanks

Its hard to say what will fit a 13 year old male - fat kids have bigger fingers for example.

Get your ring measured at a local jewelery store, they won't mind doing it for you, and then ask what the ring sizes of the large / small rings are. :)

Lol. I'm not fat :D Quite thin actually. It'l probably be safer to buy the ring off the proper website as the ones on eBay seem really dodgy, saying how they have like 4 sizes. Subterfuge only has 2.

i dunno much about the design of the ring, but if it is to big you can take it to a jewellers and get a clear plastic insert which will keep it secure on you. Im thinking of getting this myself, tossup between this and raven.

I'd get this. I've decided to buy it off the proper website as it safer and they will help you with any problems. This is meant to be much easier than the raven and you can perform it with short sleeves. I was wandering about this or the raven before but made my own raven and thought how rubbish it really is. Subterfuge all the way :D [ www.subterfugemagic.com ]

My method can do what this can.....without wearing a ring.....

I dont like rings so i came up with my method....

And i can show my hands empty before and after...(i think subterfuge can only show empty after....not sure though.)

subterfuge is a good trick one i would have bought......had the ring not been in there.

I think i know the method.....but not 100%......

I`m happy with my method....at moment.

im intrigued, for one I thought you could show clean before and after with sub, not so impressed if you cant. I like my stuff to be clean.

[edit] just watched the vid again, the hands are never shown completely clean before but they are twisted an turned a lil... but yeah, looks like cant show clean before :(

As said i`m not 100%.....but i`m sure its hard to show clean just before vanish.......like my coin vanish video.

But i think you can show clean then during patter get ready for vanish......at this point you could`nt...

I don`t own trick or know the method 100%.....but have a fair idea of how its done.

I`ll post some more examples of how it can be used soon.....
I used it at my magic club....with out any problems.

Can be done in all the ways subterfuge can and more...

Standing - sitting.....without sleeves....

The vid i uploaded was quick.....

Note if you were in front of me it would work fine......no coins dropped out of shot.(As you know it is easy to perform to a camera and make the trick work whilst out of camera shot it reveals its self.....well thats to the case in my vids..)
