Hi all
im 25 and from manchester. I have been into magic since i can remember but only recently have started making any effort to learn stuff myself.
I have bought some good self working tricks like coin unique and cigarette through pound which i have really enjoyed showing to friends and family.
I also like card magic but again have only done tricks that require no sleight and not a great deal of skill.
Id love to start learning some tricks which require a little more skill and control and any advice would be aprreciated.
thanks

Hi Cbyron and welcome to TM

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

Hi mate, I live in Manchester as well. Check out manchester Magician's circle. There's no audition (i think) and it sounds like a welcoming place. Also, buy The Royal Road To Card Magic if you want to start learning sleights with cards.

Welcome to TM and have fun.

Cheers,

There's one in Marple but I'm not sure how good it is. Based on it's website its pretty expensive - I expect you'd be best off ordering from the web, I would reccomend:

www.nothingupmysleeve.co.uk - this is excellent and I'd use it for everything if I could although it's new so at the moment it's quite small but there's a load of great stuff.

Manchester Magicians Circle and the order of the magi both in Manchester have auctionts occasionallly open to the public - I'm told some great deals are available.
