Can anyone please tell me what that trick is called when you put a thread inside your mouth and have it come out your stomach. If so, where could I buy it?

There's a straightforward explanation for this trick, if you have access to the Magician Only section, ask there, most can explain it.

Regards... Tony

An easy method...

I've performed this ONCE... because it really is a hit and miss trick. I've practiced and tried to perfect it, but without much success.

Tips: get yourself some Copydex, some black thread and some makeup.

Then earn enough points to get into the Restricted forum section.

Ask me there :)

Liquid Skin by Yankee Tom

Postby administrator » Apr 22nd, '03, 12:36

As an alternative to Copydex, you may consider Liquid Skin which has been created by a latex expert to be the perfect solution for fake skin. It is more expensive but as it is designed specifically for producing a latex false skin layer, it is far superior.

Available at http://www.emagictricks.co.uk/product_i ... ts_id=4534

Thanks, administrator!

I was trying to be 'subtle'!

Sorry for trying to drop a sale from emagictricks! In all fairness though, on the Copydex subject, if you take the pigmentation out of the equation, they're pretty similar.

The only thing I'd add to the discussion (my two penneth) would be go with the proper retail liquid mentioned - Copydex STINKS.

The only other disadvantage is I've a really hairy midrift (YUK - too much info) and this makes for a very delicate artistic job.

Remember, kids, there is NO SKIN PUNCTURING involved here... this is a Magic forum, not a surgeon's hangout. I've heard a horrible tale (whether it's true or not) of a guy actually cutting himself and putting dental floss in the wound. He then waited to see if it would heal over the floss.
Needless to say, he ended up with a nice scar rather than a magic trick!

Mog... first, just rub gently and it goes all funny and stringy.

Then, just dive in the bath. That worked for me.
The latex just floats to the top of the water.

Mog
In fairness, I found more problems applying it than I actually did removing it.
I first saw this trick performed by a street magician in Amsterdam, and he was as hairy as a bear. I figured I could do it to.
Trick is, making convincing looking flesh by painting arount the hair.
Blaine (spit) apparently did this one, and he's not unhairy, but he probably had a bunch of makeup artists at his disposal.

I may try it again, but I'd go a bit further round the side of my hip, where I'm a little less furry. Maybe try that???

It's included in a book called 'The Swami Mantra'. The drawback being it's quite rare and around £40.

Tom!

Hope I didn't ruin any trade, just being honest!
