Yup, after a few weeks searching for the right photos and a few nights writing the script; i've finally come up with my very own effect..

no, not a new method or sleight - in fact its a klondyke shuffle and some mixing up....but the storyline and so on, is mine...or rather, ive not read anything similar...

so, in a small burst of excitement im waffling on about it - its a story set in Victorian En-gur-land and a psychic comes forward to offer his services to the police...

..the sargeant is none too convinced and offers a test, he shows him 5 murderers and their victims and hands the photos to the psychic; asking him to match them up...

the psychic begins mixing the cards up, picking up on the vibrations of each person and lays two photos down on the table...the sargeant turns them over to reveal that their case number matches...

...still not convinced, the sargeant turns half of the cards face down (in case the psychic recognises any of the people) then the psychic begins going through them again...

this time he picks one face up and one face down photo - once more the sargeant turns them over and again they match...

"ok then, if you're truly psychic, you'll be able to do it blindfolded..." so the lights are put out...

"i...am done" says the psychic...lights come back on and there are three more pairs on the table...each and every one match...

ta-dah! not very impressive technically i know, but im still quite pleased with myself...thanks for letting me waffle!

...thanks very much...

...I'm performing at a party in a couple of weeks time, i've even sorted a spare bedroom to use (which is thankfully completely empty except a table)...

so i've kinda landed on my feet a bit there...

...and im trying to sort the plot for another - an antique spoon in an (dont laugh) victorian bovril bottle...(god bless covent garden market) slowly revolves round on its own and the handle points to a previously selected card (one of twelve) around the bottle...

...and im trying to have a go at making myself a plate-lifter...

that's my weekend gone already...

thanks for the feedback though - very much appreciated :D
