(or "shapeshifter squared" perhaps!)
my usual habit of taking tricks a step too far has brought us this...

I liked it.

I was working on something similar to shapeshifter 4 aces.
I assume in practice you wait a beat for it to register fully then take off the already prepared cards?

That's what I do for my 4 ace shapeshifter

You wont find much better anywhere and it's nothing - a rigmarole with a few bits of paper and lots of spiel. That is Mentalism

Nice, the only comment I have is that you seemed to spend a bit too long squaring the packet against the deck. If you do the change and then hold the cards forward a couple of inches as if to show them then it should be easy enough to get a break in preparation for the move. Just saves a bit of fiddling on the deck, it's a minor point :)

I prefer the second version of it...both very good, but the second one was a bit more visual I think, especially the first and last transformations.

The move is MarcDe Souza's Shapeshifter Change, or rather a variant of it, and for those that want to learn it a DVD of it can be found here Ellusionist.

Very good!

most people don't buy shapeshifter but watch the dome over and over again and will eventualy get how to do it.

i bought the dvd thinking it would teach me more but it only teaches you the same stufff you can learn for the demo and a very good pass without the pass(actualy its more of a steal)

I agree with katrielalex for your first video. While the move was done very well the rest was a little suspicious. I thought your second video was excellent. But just to feed my own curiousity, can you tell me if the video was sped up at all?

The second video was excellent. (Unless you sped it up :)) it was very smooth and you have got rid of the fiddling on the deck entirely. I like the EC at the end, although I'm not sure if it is better with the card outjogged. The final change was brilliant!

nah, it's not sped up, i wouldn't even know how to speed up a video. i had enough trouble just taking the sound off it!

i just put those couple of changes in cos i was just messing about when i was doing the video really, thought i'd keep them in.
i always thought an EC worked better outjogging the card and leaving it there once changed, kind of separates it from the deck a bit, gives that justification for outjogging a card in the first place. you should never outjog a card then square it up when you do the change, thats just wrong. IHMO

Then in that case Larry, that was lightning fast with extremely good handling. An excellent display of card skills!
