maybe I'm just unlucky but I had a problem last time I tried to return a DVD to them for their refund. I sent it back in an envelope with the original packaging with the padding inside. They claimed that the box was broken and charged me a 20% restocking fee. Now I have never had things broken in the mail before, through all the years I've been buying stuff online. And since it came through the postal system to me without any problems, I would expect that it can go through the same system the other way with the same if not more padding than before.

now I am overseas, so there really isn't anything I can do. But I am unhappy with this result.

Option, that's very unfortunate. What method of shipping did you use to send it back? And just out of curiosity what was your reason for sending it back in the first place?
