Hi, my name is Francis, I live in the south west of england. I am 19 years old, and a total beginner at magic. I really want to get into coin and money magic so if anyone can point me to some decent tricks and teaching aides I would be very grateful.

I've already orderd Sinful + Coin in a bottle (2 fold 2p) version.

Bobo's Modern Coin Magic is a good place to start - the writing is a bit antiquated but it has all the moves you will need to do brilliant coin magic.

There are some DVDs out there too...Michael Ammar's Introduction to Coin Magic for one.

Where abouts in the south west are you? I'm down in the dark recesses of Cornwall, well, I'm in Uni at the moment but I will head home soon! :?

Anyway, have fun here, you'll love it.

Hi, I'm back. :p

Now more into Card Magic. Very tempted into buying Third Degree Burn as it looks awesome. If anyone could mention any good Card dvd's I would greatly apreciate it as I'm not great at learning from books.

Born to perform is your best bet if a total beginner at cards....hell it's good to have if you aren't

I quite like Gerry Griffins complete card magic if your budget is a bit higher

Ooooh and welcome to TM by the way

Welcome! I find David Jones DVDs for magic for beginners excellent. He is an excellent teacher, and I like to buy his videos even though I do not consider myself a beginner (in fact I have done magic on and off since I was 8 yr old).

Magic is slight of mind!
