Can any one tell me the name of this trick?

It's one possible phase of the classic Ambitious Card effect, where a card lost in the deck rises to the top because it is deemed more ambitious than the others.

There are dozens if not hundreds of routines out there - do a search for the Ambitious Card and you'll be well on your way.

That's a part of the famous ambitious card trick. Or one of the ways to do the ambitious card. I don't know if this particular part has a name. It's explained at the Born to Perform DVD; I had seen it for the first time on some Blaine's videos. Don't know if he had invented it or not.

Oh, sorry. it took me too long to post. I'm watchin an episode of "Seinfeld":)

Btw that's a nice thing to do in th ambitious card trick. Of course if you know how to do it. And you obviously do.

Yep - I can confirm that this move is taught as part of the ACR in Born to Perform although Oz has a different presentation which in my opinion is far less flashy but has more impact.

Your post may have lost that little something in the video of course but the flourishes that you use detract from the impact of this effect in my opinion.

Simple sometimes is better and A lot of people pause before turning the card over so that the impact of it jumping to the top sinks in.

A good effort though

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

More than likely it is the Braue pop up move, as far as I can remember. Is featured in Expert Card Technique by Hugard and Braue.
