Subterfuge Magic System

Postby Delude » May 19th, '06, 18:22

Hey All :D I have only seen two videos on the net for Subterfuge Magic System, one is the demo video and the other is someone off the SMS forum performing shadow coins so I thought i'd put a video together of me using the SMS. I really do think that it is great and there are loads of things you can do with it :D Fantastic buy off their site and i highly reccomend it! Will probably do a review later, but for now:

[Sorry for the bad video quality, was all done on my webcam. And i think i over exaggerrated that my hands were empty before every trick, just for some of you guys that don't believe me :D]

I think some of that stuff can be done without this SMS thing... But I don't know. Otherwise, it was really nice. :)

Hell yeah! Other people were going on about how bad it is because you can only do it in certain places at certain times but i totally disagree! It can be done anywhere, any time. I can do the setup in about 0.2 of a second! It is so easy and if done correctly, nobody will know a thing!

How much did it cost you in the end? and did it come with any suggested routines? were the instructions clear?

it cost me £30 of www.subterfugemagic.com . The ring was PERFECT. Slides a bit but i am only 13! The gimmicka are amazing and instructions are in the dvd case. As well as those simple instructions there is a whole detailed dvd from the creators which i think is great! Upon purchase of the SMS system, you gain access to the private part of the subterfuge magic forum [ www.subterfugemagic.com/forum ] with even more ideas for tricks and everything you need to know about SMS.

I personally think its great and would reccomend it but that is only my opinion.

It is not angle sensitive from the left and the right. With the pk ring, sure you can do some cool stuff but then people will ask to see your ring. Then they will probably find out that it is magnetic. The ring in Subterfuge is not magnetic and that is a ig difference. there are many tricks that can be performed with SMS and i highly reccomedn it.

Thanks Flash :D

The ring should`nt draw any attention if you perform to people who don`t know you.....if you don`t wear a ring normally and do it for friends....they will probaly ask questions...
I don`t wear rings and this is why i did`nt get this....i re worked my own method...with out need of a ring.

YOUR VIDEO IS WELL DONE AND DOES`NT GIVE ANY CLUES AS TO HOW ITS DONE......WHICH IS ALWAYS GOOD.

Request...shot some freestanding stuff...look forward to seeing that.

There are two issues I have heard about the Subterfuge which puts me off; a well respected magician and shop owner who doesn't stock them suggested:

1) bad timing - suspicion is drawn to the hand that is doing the dirty work - never good!
2) ditching is a pain. all the videos where you see people using subterfuge, their hands go out of shot with the vanishing wave, which makes me suspect that this is correct and that ditching is not a subtle enough affair.

But feel free to put me straight - I am still interested in this piece of kit, but sceptical!
