Suggestions on a 21st birthday party

Postby moonbeam » May 20th, '06, 19:48

A lil' while ago I turned 40 (eep  ) and my missus' sister came to my bash. When she was there I promptly performed a few tricks for a few people (as you do  ) and she's now having a 21st bash tonight. Word has got round that I'm some kinda super magician (yea - right  ) and I've been told that I've got a few people to impress (nothing like putting me on the spot  ).

Talk about leaving it 'til the last minute, but I'm trying to think of some tricks that I can perform (I'll need mostly ungimmicked ones 'cos my pockets will already be full), so any suggestions would be much appreciated :)

So far I've got:

Coin Unique
Dreamweaver
Coin through rubber sheet
Time Master's Watch
Super Sharpie
Criss Angel's coin in can
The Bat

A few card routines I've got are:
Out of this world
Biddle Trick
2 card monte
Ambitious Card (not too sure on this 1 tbh 'cos I don't think I've practiced it enough)
... and a few other non-gimmicked card tricks that I can't recall at the mo :x

Any other suggestions please peeps ??

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??

I think what you have already sounds good enough, after all you probably won't perform all the tricks for everyone (i.e. you probably won't have to repeat any of those).

Also you can get more than one trick out of those listed.

I mean coin unique, you can present it in a few different ways. Swirl away glass thing, or making it go into the their pocket or something. You'll get 2 or 3 out of this

Dreamweaver has quite a few phases doesn't it.

Super sharpie, you read their mind, they read your mind, or you say how much spare change someone has. That's 3.

Bat has loads of stuff you can do. Stop someones watch linking rings or whatever. Loads.

Then you have 3 really great card tricks. I don't think you should try your full ambitious card routine. Although you could try just a few phases and stop when you are not sure.

You have loads of great tricks there. I don't think you should bother with coin through rubber sheet. I just don't think it would stand up to the standard of your other tricks.

Good luck!
