Well. Alternative interpretations. That's what it's all about. Provided you can back it up, of course :D.

did anybody else do that question from of mice and men that want something like this:
why are some characters pathetic and why do we feel sorry for them?

what an odd question to ask but i think the correct answer is: nobody cares :D

Ah, you did OCR (Edexcel? other weird one?)!

I had a nasty little question at the end in my AQA one though...find all the solutions to cos A(sin A + 3cos A) = 0 where 0 < A < 4pi. Blech.

Kati

EDIT: Wow, that was my 2000th post. I am addicted!

Yea, I did Edexcel.

For that question you had there, wouldn't you square everything first. I'm not sure.... but working in radians is like ridiculous lol.

You wouldn't square it, you would note that either cos A or (sin A+3 cos A) is zero. For cos A, that means solutions (pi/2 3pi/2 5pi/2 7pi/2). For the other, you are solving tan A = 3 which is transcedental and requires the use of a graph or calculator.

(you triggered my inner math geek)
