Hi all!
I've been guest-ing it up for a while so thought I ought to register and show my face. I'm a second year medical student from Sheffield/Leeds, who first got into magic when I learnt a few tricks to show to kids over in India where I spent my gap year.

I'm still quite the amateur, with no actual performances under my belt (if you think I'm labelling myself "AH" think again... someone's having a laugh there!) but am eager to learn. I'm currently using magic practice to take my mind of revision!

I'd quite like to progress quickly, mostly because it's just great fun, but also I work part time at a conference centre often used for wedding receptions in the summer, and I'm looking into being able to come into extra work there by entertaining the bored children wandering around! In addition to this, I'm not really a "clubber", yet sometimes am obliged to go out to clubs with friends to be sociable... this is surely a great time to practice magic?! Lots of movement, darkness and noise to cover up the odd rusty move, they'll all have had a few so will be easily amazed and hopefully if I ever get caught, they'll have forgotten by the next day!

Anyway, that's me... magic's on the back burner until last exam on 15th of June, but after that I've got a longish summer to practice all day!
