Prediction Impossinle by jay sankey

Cost: £10.00 from Davenports in london

Difficulty: 1 very easy to do

Effect: The magician writes a prediction on a piece of paper, screws it into a ball and places it on the table. Five cards, each with a different psychic symbol are given to a spectator to freely shuffle behind her back. She then slips ANY ONE of nthe cardsinto a small envelope. Yet that card is revealed to match the magicians own prediction! Only five cards are used in the trick, the envelope is completely ungimmicked and the spectator really does have a FREE CHOICE. Best of all the trick is self working. Includes printed cards, envelpoes, instructions and a dvd with added info.

What i say:

This effect is good. The handling can be a bit tricky for the spectator. It's difficult to shuffle cards behind your back if your not used to it. But other handling methods are suggested. I have actually come up with my own method that i feel is better and so much easier on the spectator. If you have this trick please pm me and will give you some advice.
Sankey is such a nutter, but cannot fault his teaching method. The only thing i have a problem with is that the cards cannot be checked over by the spectator. overall 8 out of 10. worth checking out. :)

I love this trick.

Surely a simple packet switch would provide inspectability though?

You wont find much better anywhere and it's nothing - a rigmarole with a few bits of paper and lots of spiel. That is Mentalism

Yeh, I dont like this, you can't have more than one spec safely. I mean it's OK, but for the effort in carrying around an extra packet trick....

I'd like to hear your improved handling tho

right fellas. the handling i do for this trick is as follows. you show the esp cards to spectator showing all differnt. then place each card into a pay envelope and seal them. you then pass the envelopes to be mixed by the spectators and you say your going to try a test in precognition. you then write down the prediction screw into a bal and place it on as surface. you then ask spectator to chose any envelope and place the others into your pocket  you then keep going on that everthing is so fair so on  to burn it into their heads. then reveal the selection and show the prediction. in this way spectatoes do not have to shuffle behind their backs, and you show cards individually as placing them into pay envelopes so all looks fair :)
