showoff with cards help

Postby requiemfad » May 24th, '06, 04:36

Ok I need help with my one handed revolution. Brian tudor didnt really show all the angles in his dvd.

1st try

I tried to do it slow, am I doing the right thing?

2nd try

normal speed

The main problem Im noticing is that the final top packet does not land flush cause my index finger gets in the way. Im not sure where my index finger is supposed to go after I swivel top backet to the bottom. Sometimes it curls below the bottom packet, sometimes its at the side of the bottom packet.

Some tips on the Revolution Cut:

1) Get as much of the cut done with the thumb and index finger, and finish the rest of the cut with the index and ring finger.
2) Do not bend the ring finger inwards to grab the packet (I know it's hard, I find it hard too) but instead, it should be stationery and wait until the thumb and index brings the packet towards the ring finger.
3) Try and tilt the packet to the left actually before you spin the packet. This allows maximum revolution on the cut.

Here's a video I made before showing it. As you can see, it should be one action almost and the cut should just look like it's spinning.
